Store Management

The Store Management feature allows with the role of Stock Controller to create stores where stock items will be held when not allocated to a dwelling.

There are two types of stores

Primary - A primary store location houses stock from which items can be picked from. The minimum stock levels in primary store can be set so that stock levels can be managed.
Secondary - A secondary store location is typically a location from which items can be allocated, such as an engineer's van. Stock cannot be selected or picked from a secondary location only allocated. Users can be assigned to secondary stores so that a user of a store can be associated with the handling of that stock.

A user must be a member of the Stock Controller role in order to access Store Management from the Inventory home page.

Examples of Store Set Up

Single Control Centre

In this set up a singular set of stores are servicing the entire set of authorities and control centres where all stock items are visible and usable by the application users.

Multiple Control Centres

In this set up two completely separate sets of stores are servicing completed different control centres. Application users in the different centres cannot see each other's stock items and work completely independently of each other.
