Editing Stock Items
Stock details can only be edited if the item of stock is not installed in a dwelling or reserved (i.e. pending allocation to a Service User) to be installed into a dwelling. If the item of stock is installed in a dwelling then the application user must perform a change request on a service agreement to edit the stock details.
Edit Stock item
- From the home page Select Inventory
- Select Search Stock
- Search for a Stock Item (For more information see section Searching for a Stock)
- Select the [Pencil] to edit the stock item
- Update Stock item as appropriate
- Attributes that are not editable from this screen are:
- Manufacturer Name
- Stock type
- Stock
- PNC equipment telephone number
- Add justification reason
- Select [Save]
OR
- Select [Cancel] To exit without saving
Note: Editing a stock item will require a justification reason and note to be added for audited purposes, these notes will be visible in the view stock notes area

- The serial number can be set and changed following items of stock being added through the goods in process
- The stock status can be changed using the stock combination box, this will be a pre-defined list of stock states. You cannot set an item to In Use or reserved, these states can only be set through the request process. An edit to the status will write an event to the stock item history log.
- The owner of the equipment can be edited, see section 'How do I record the ownership of a stock item'
- The location of an item of stock can be changed by selecting the location combination box, an edit to the location will write an event to the stock item history log
