Validating a referral is a key step in the referral process. Service Manager allows the user to check the new referral against existing Service Agreements to help prevent duplication or referrals or service delivery.
Once all the mandatory data has been entered the referral can be validated by selecting the [Validate] button.
A referral is validated against existing Service Agreements in the following order
There are 4 different pathways through validation with alternate outcomes:
No Matches
Match is found - On the person
Match is found on the person and address
Match is found on just the address
On all of the above scenarios - Even if a possible match is displayed then the user can still create a new service agreement and installation request.
