Managing Service User Stock
Service Users' stock is managed from within a Request. New Stock can be picked and allocated, existing stock can be re-configured, maintained or de-allocated.
The following section will assist you with performing those activities within a Request.
- View Stock: The stock item details that are allocated to a Service user can be viewed.
- Pick Stock: Types of Stock Items can be picked as part of an installation or a change request. You do not pick an actual stock item just the type of stock. The actual stock item being allocated to a Service User is completed during the stock allocation
- Unpick Stock: Stock that has been picked in error cam be unpicked from a Service User, in the instances where incorrect items are picked or the Service User refuses to have the items that have been picked allocated to them.
- Configuring Primary Equipment: The primary stock item that communicates with PNC will be configured so that the stock item can communicate with PNC, this will involve setting the unique PNC Equipment ID.
- Allocating Stock: Stock items that have been picked for a Service User can be allocated as long as there is a future dated and completed Assessment in place for the Service User. Stock Items are allocated from the Secondary Store locations, typically Telecare Offices stores as part of the installation and referral process.
- Maintaining Stock: Stock Items that are allocated to a Service User can be maintained through a change request, so that any routine maintenance or battery services are recorded against the Service Users' stock item. In this instance the actual stock item that is allocated to the Service User will not change, but the fact that a change has happened to a stock item will be recorded
- De-allocating Stock: Stock Items can be de-allocated from a Service User as part of a Request. The primary stock item can only be de-allocated if a decommission request has been created. Other stock items can be de-allocated at any time within a Request in the instances where an upgrade, a repair (exchange) or the risks of the Service User change meaning they no longer want or require the stock item allocated.
